NeuroTOUCH - A new age of assistive technologies is on the horizon.

Cortex Labs has developed software developed to aid people with disabilities. This technology is a promising non-invasive opportunity to increase the quality of life for people limited by physical disabilities.

Tasks that were before unattainable are within reach through the use of brain waves and concentrated thought. Communication and motor substitution are among the most exciting advancements. Imagine being able to type using only your thoughts.

People limited by disabilities will find new hope in the assistive technologies providing the ability to communicate with computers. Cortex Labs has developed NeuroTouch application that interfaces with the eMotiv EPOC Neuro Headset for acquisition and mapping of thought generated actions to computer devices. Don’t be limited by disabilities, it’s all in your head.

The developed control panel offers the opportunity for easier human computer interaction. It uses the signals measured by the headset to interpret user expressions in real-time. It provides a natural enhancement to computer interaction by allowing human expression to be mapped into computer commands. Let's picture some scenarios that user can interact with the software: A person can launch their email application with just a blink and then use accessibility tools come with the software to type their   message without having to reach to keyboard or mouse. People can also play his/her favourite playlist by a smile. The application can also provide an extra dimension in game interaction by allowing the game to respond to a player's emotions.
